| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to consider the environmental management activities in Japan and China. In recent years, it is stressed that firms need to promote the improvement of environmental conservation, reduction of negative environmental impact, establishment of recycling systems and so on. This is worldwide and global issues in all countries and regions. First, I describe the practices of environmental conservation and activities of sustainable management in advanced countries, developing countries and China in this paper. Second, I explain the environmental management activities of Japanese firms and overseas affiliated companies which Japanese firms established through direct investment. I point out some problems which Japanese affiliated companies in Asia have faced in environment-conscious production and recycling business. Third, I introduce five cases of environmental management and analyze the activities which Japanese firms have promoted recently. Forth, I clarify the features which Japanese affiliated companies in China have practiced the environmental management activities. Finally, I discuss the future direction of environmental management and suggest that Japanese firms should introduce the concept of CSR(Corporate Social Responsibility) in environmental management activities. | |||||||||||
